Pound Melters was founded in 1995 by Dr. Stuart J. Warner, M.D. Pound Melters is a comprehensive program seeking to change dietary and activity behavior leading to weight loss which can be permanent. Most patients are helped with the judicious use of medications to reduce appetite and hunger. Our overriding concept is that obesity is unhealthy, leading to many disease states conferring disability and shortening lifespan.

We encourage our patients to look at this as a lifestyle change and not just a diet. You should always keep your fat grams low, exercise and watch your portions. While you are changing your eating habits and lifestyle, we can help you with the use of prescription appetite suppressants.

The medications we currently use are phendimetrazine, phentermine, diethylpropion and Xenical.

We see our patients on a monthly basis. You are more than welcome to come in throughout the month if you want to be weighed or have questions for the doctor. There is no charge for these visits.

Cost of Program: $95.00 per month. Some medications are included in the cost of our program.
